Nicklaus' Percent Post

A percent is an equivalent fraction out of a hundred. You can convert percent to a fraction, decimal and degrees. You can add, subtract, multiply or divide fractions. Percent also means per hundred. Percents are part of a circle graph. If you divide the numerator by the denominator and multiply it by a hundred, your answer will be a percent.

100% means everything.
To find 100%, you need to divide the denominator by 1. For example 10/10 or 18/18

50% means half
To find 50%, you need to divide the denominator by 2. For example 2/4 or 6/12

10% means 1/10 of the whole number
To find  10%, you need to divide the denominator by 10. For example 4/40 or 30/300

25% means a quarter
To find 25%, you need to divide the denominator by 4. For example 1/4 or 25/100

1% means 1/100 of the whole number
To find the 1%, you need to divide the denominator by 100. For example 4/400 or 0.2/20

180%

0.6%

12 3/4 %

26% turn into decimal and fraction. 26÷100 = 0.26-26/100 divide 2/2= 13/50
                                                                      1 00

7/10 turn into a decimal and a percent. 7÷10=0.7 - 0.7*100=70 70%

0.024 turn into into a fraction and a percent. 0.024*100=2.4 2.4%- 24/1000  by 8/8 = 3/125
1 000
(i multiply the fractions by 100 because each percent is out of 100 and each decimal is out of 1. So if you  cross multiply or cross product, you will get the same answer. It can work backwards if you are trying to to turn a percent to a decimal)
