A percent is out of a one hundred.


100%  means 100/100
To find 100%, you know that 100 percent is 100/100 so you divided the numerator and denominator by 1.

50% is 50/100 or 1/2
 To find 50 percent you divided the numerator and denominator by 2.

25% means 25/100 or 1/4
To find 25% you divide the numerator and denominator by 4.

10% means 10/100
To find 25% you divide the numerator and denominator by 10.

1% means 1/100
To find 1% you divide the numerator and denominator by 100.


Representing Percents

180% means 180/100 which is 180 out of one hundred and 18.0/1.8








0.6% means 0.6/100 which is 0.6 out of one hundred or 00.6






















12 3/8% means 12 3/8 which is out of one hundred also 0.123/8












Converting Fraction,Decimals and percents.

Fraction to Decimals
3/40 - 3 divide by 40 which equals 0.0075


Decimal to Percent
Since we got the decimal 0.0075 we all know that a percent is out of 100. So now you mutiply 0.0075 with 100 which makes 7.5%

3. Converting decimals to percent to fraction

Decimal: To convert 26% to a decimal you divide it by 100 equals to 0.26.
Fraction:

Decimal: To convert 7/10 into a decimal, you divide the numerator and the denominator that equals to 0.7
Percent: To convert 7/10 into a percent you turn the fraction into a decimal which gives you 0.7 then you multiply it by 100 which gives you 70%/
